Rob does not work in silos; things connect in ways both obvious and invisible.

He creates film images that trust composition and light and performance.  These images inform his writing, and what he writes amplifies the films he creates. His students challenge the assumptions he brings from the set, or the page, into the classroom.  What lives on the page and dies on the page are things to learn and things to be taught.  This fierceness of craft and intention is in the sole pursuit of beautiful results. Filmmaking, Writing, Teaching are disciplines that weave one to the next.
